Informed Care Media grew out of a simple observation: patients often leave appointments overwhelmed and unsure of what they’ve just been told.
Founder Darcy Muenchrath has over 15 years of experience in video production. After going through a few medical procedures of his own, he noticed how hard it was to absorb and retain everything a doctor explained in a short appointment. He also saw firsthand how stretched specialists are — packed waiting rooms, long wait times, and back-to-back patients leaving little room to slow down and explain things twice. Those observations were reinforced through many conversations with a close friend who is a doctor and surgeon, whose perspective helped shape a clearer picture of the pressures on both sides of the exam table. That experience became the foundation for Informed Care Media — creating videos that give patients a clear, calm way to revisit their diagnosis and understand what comes next, without adding to an already full plate.
